New Year's Message from the East

New Year's Message from the East

Brethren~

Happy New Year! 2007 has started off with a bang for Spokane #34. On January 9, we held our open installation of officers. The evening was well attended by members, friends, and family, and we were pleased and honored to have had RWB Doug Tucker, Senior Grand Warden, there, too. Many thanks to our installing team, WB N.A. Rolfe, VWB Dean Heinemann, VWB Chet Echelbarger, and WB Kurt Kimberling for an outstanding job. We installed twelve officers that night and I'm looking forward to working with them this year.

At our January stated meeting we had a frank and well-considered discussion regarding the Lodge's finances now, and looking toward the future. It was decided that in February we will have a final conversation regarding raising our dues. Please come to Lodge on February 20 to participate in the discussion. Dinner will be served at 7:00pm and Lodge will open at 7:30pm.

In the meantime, we're still busy with degree work. On January 23 we will be conferring two Entered Apprentice degrees, and on January 30 two Fellowcraft degrees. Please come down and support the lodge and our four newest brothers!

Fraternally,
Winfield
